Qamar Jalalabadi

Om Prakash Bhandari (1917 – 2003), better known as "Qamar Jalalabadi", was an Indian Urdu poet and Bollywood lyricist (from Jalalabad in Indian Punjab). Known for his versatility and his deep Hindu religiosity, he was also one of the founder members of Mumbai's Film Writers Association. In the film industry, he is mostly known for his work in the films "Chand" (1944), "Renuka" and "Mulaquat" (1947), "Pyar Ki Jeet" (1948), "Aansoo" (1953), "Pehli Tarikh" (1954), and "Howrah Bridge" (1958).
